We offer wholesale and retail meat sales, retail butchery and cutting services as well as super beef from our onsite feedlot.

We pride ourselves on providing a Marketplace for Producers and Buyers to meet and trade directly. At Binder we slaughter Beef, Goat and Sheep 6 days a week. Wholesale Meat and Offal Sales, Retail Butchery and Cutting Services open 7 days a week.

WHOLESALE MEAT AND OFFAL CUSTOMERS

as Binder is a Service Slaughter Abattoir, Meat and Offal in the Abattoir cold room belong to individual Producer (Owner) not the Abattoir.

  • On arrival, please go to Abattoir DISPATCH – our STAFF will advise what product is available, the current price ranges and introduce you to the Producers.
  • You may view items in the cold room accompanied by a Binder Employee. You need to wear the FULL protective clothing (provided) and follow hygiene procedures.
  • Identify the products you require and negotiate the deal directly with the Producer. 
  • The Producer is required to pay their slaughter fee before Meat or Offal can be dispatched. They will then request the loading team to load your vehicle. 
  • Please ensure YOU AGREE pricing and payment terms with the Producer prior to loading.
  • Please WITNESS all weights when the product is on the scale.
  • NO RETURNS are accepted after the PERISHABLE Product leaves the dispatch.
  • Once loaded a digital copy of the Dispatch NOTE is available upon request.
  • Should you require CUTTING services please request assistance from Abattoir Staff, at no charge, to transport your Meat Carcasses to the BUTCHERY for further processing. 

PLEASE NOTE: Binder Abattoir is NOT liable for ANY terms or conditions of sale negotiated between Producers and Customers. All obligations and liabilities arising from these transactions are between the Producer and Customer

MEAT CUTTING CUSTOMERS

To Serve You Better: Please always accompany your meat and be present for all cutting and packing. We accept no liability for shortfalls or claims.

 

  • Please Park at the Butchery and go to the CUTTING DESK for service, our staff can then assist in carrying meat to the Scale. 
  • Meat will be weighed and the per kg cutting fee paid.
  • Meat will go to the Cutting Room and assigned to a Bandsaw Operator
  • Please advise clearly how you would like the meat to be cut.
  • Provide your own packaging and/or crates OR packaging is available to purchase at the Cutting Desk
  • Bandsaw operators will cut, and customers are required to do the packing.
PLEASE NOTE: Sawdust from the bandsaw remains the property of the Butchery. Mincing is included in the Cutting Fee however should you wish to Mince only there is a separate charge, as with Sausage making. Please provide your own spices, casings etc.

LIVESTOCK OWNERS

We Provide:

(Head, Heels, stomach, lungs, heart, Liver, Kidney and Oxtail)

On arrival, please present your Police Clearance Certificate and Vet Movement Permit documents to the Receiving Clerk on Duty. Your cattle will be placed into the slaughter queue, we operate on a “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED” basis. After slaughter your meat and offal will be tagged and placed in the cold room ready for you to collect or sell. If you require assistance with sales or transport, please speak to BINDER ABATTOIR employees at DISPATCH.

The following facilities are on offer to you:

  • Meat Cutting and Packing facilities available at the Butchery.
  • Canteen serving affordable meals and teas.
  • Basic but free accommodation should you require to stay overnight *bedding not provided. 
  • Hay and Livestock Feed for Sale

PLEASE NOTE the following T&Cs apply:


  • Binder Abattoir Reserve the Right to Refuse Service.
  • If your paperwork is not correct you may not be added to the queue until corrected. 
  • When cattle are Slaughtered ONE person per batch may witness slaughter. 
  • No more than 2 VISITORS in the COLDROOM at any time. You must be accompanied by a Binder Employee. You need to wear the FULL protective clothing (provided), follow hygiene procedures.
  • The Hide and all other trimmings and/or biproducts are retained by the Abattoir.
  • It is the Slaughter Customers responsibility to manage the dispatch and sale of the meat and offal. 
  • Binder Abattoir is NOT liable for ANY terms or conditions of sale negotiated between Producers and Customers. All obligations and liabilities arising from these transactions are between the Producer and Customer
  • Any meat not sold or moved out of Binder Abattoirs cold rooms after 14 days may be charged a storage fee at the discretion of the abattoir, not exceeding $1/quarter/day.
